Tutorial: How to get rid of Other on iPhone

Most iphone users would agree that the dreaded other data has been the bane of their existence. So if you’re wondering how to get of other on iphone, you have come to the right place. Learning how to get rid of other on iphone is easy. But first, one must have an idea what other is. All the data except of apps, ibooks, photos, music or videos is included in other. Many applications on iOS create a cache and then rely on it. Usually other contains these caches of previous or current apps. But it can also include picture messages, emails and other app data/documents. Following are a few way-outs on how to get rid of other on iphone with and without restoring.

How to get rid of other on iphone using general tricks

Other data can be a mixture of a lot of things. This means operating system settings and data, Safari cache, Siri cache, downloaded maps, reminders, notes, stocks, weather data, email, texts, iMessages, and data for all of the apps on your phone. Following are few solutions that can help get rid of other without restoring.
  • Sync – This may work for some phones. In iTunes, uncheck the 'sync' option in Photos, Books, TV Shows, Movies, Music and Ringtones. Sync the phone. Go back in and re-check the 'sync' option in Photos, Books, TV Shows, Movies, Music and Ringtones. Re-sync the phone.
  • iTunes downloads - Make sure no files are paused or stuck. Until the file is downloaded, it is included in other data.
  •  iTunes match – Turning it on stores some music data in hiding for future use as cache. If you have it turned on, turn it off and delete all songs off the phone manually. Preferably not with the swipe left thing but by going artist by artist. Then you can turn it back on.
  • Email - Email attachments are saved under other data. First delete the email account and re-setup it. Then make sure it isn't set to download all your email from all time. This would free-up some space.
  • SMS/MMS/iMessage – SMS with photo and video attachments can take up a lot of space on other. Deleting these would help get rid of other on iphone. Sometimes your iphone doesn’t instantly show the freed space. To solve this issue, delete messages and then power the phone off for 30+ seconds.
Important: There isn’t a clean way to sync iMessages. These will only come back by doing a full restore from iTunes or iCloud.

Tutorial to get rid of other on iphone using PhoneClean

Get rid of other on iPhone A great way to get rid of other without restoring is by using PhoneClean. Most people find themselves skeptical when downloading freeware apps for ‘cleaning’. Rightfully so, as such softwares usually cause more problems than they solve. This isn’t the case with PhoneClean. The app is created by a company called iMobie who are known for many apps for transferring data to and from iphone. The good thing about PhoneClean is that it’s free of charge, unlike most of the apps from iMobie. Learning how to get rid of other on iphone using PhoneClean is simple.
  • First download and install the software on your PC. This can be found at http://www.imobie.com/phoneclean/
  • Make sure your device is plugged in your computer.
  • Begin scan
  • The app will then analyze your device for ‘Temp and Junk Files’, ‘Cache and Off-line Files’, ‘Cookie and Script Files’ and ‘Sync-failed Media Files’.
  • After completing scan, the app will show the data that you don’t need. Clean up to free up space in other.

Clean up "Other" Storage with restoring

Sometimes the reason of other data being huge is data corruption. It can be deadly as other would keep on increasing. To get rid of other on iphone when nothing else is working, restoration is the best way-out. This reduces the other data to the minimum size possible. Important: Restoration will delete all your app data. So it’s recommended that you back-up your contacts, iMessages etc using any software you want. Also you must do a clean restore and not restore to back-up. To get rid of other using restoration, follow the steps below.
  • Connect your iphone to computer and open iTunes.
  • Allow iphone to sync completely.
  • Open the "Summary" tab under your device menu.
  • Under ‘Backups’ find ‘Manually Back Up and Restore’ and click ‘Back up Now’.
  • Let your iphone back-up the data. This may take several minutes.
  • Click ‘Restore iPhone’ once the back-up is complete.
  • When the pop-up appears, click "Restore." This may take several minutes.
  • When the iPhone is reset, follow the directions given on the iphone.

Quaid-e-Azam Powerplant approved after talks with Solar Energy Companies

Quaid-e-Azam solar power plant has been approved and the installation of solar panels would start after talks with solar energy companies. Investment of more than 200 billion to be attracted.
Solar Energy Companies
In the eve of the energy crisis, Prime Minister has directed Chief Minister and the higher authorities to immediately start working on the installation of new solar energy power plant in the southern Punjab.
The Chief Minister has approved a new 100MW power plant which would produce cheap electricity for the public. Chief Minister has directed the local government secretary to file the final recommendations so that the work can start immediately on Quaid-e-Azam Solar energy park . Although some portions of the media has questioned "Why solar energy?", the move has generally been taken positively by the mass portions of the media.
As per the new energy policy that was announced in July, one of the major initiatives the PML N government has taken is to solve the energy crisis.
The major solar energy companies were consulted and the 2 projects would add to the electricity production capacity of Pakistan. The estimated completion time is 2-3 years and it would also help to reduce the electricity tariff rates which have jumped to Rs.14 per unit.
Apart from that, with the corporation of Asian Development Bank, coal based projects have also begun in Jamshoro.
All these transactions have to be carried out with the solar energy companies transparently. The sooner the solar projects are completed, the more relief the public would gain.

The Origins of Computer Generated Content: Director's View Point

Computer Generated Content (CGC) or Computer Generated Imagery (CGI) is the application of the field of computer graphics; specifically 3D computer graphics to create special effects in areas such as film, video games and simulators. These visual scenes may be dynamic or static.

The technology was introduced in the early 1960’s. Computer Generated Content began as Fragmentation Animation. Tthe film known as Hummingbird is among one of the first to be made using CGI. Hummingbird gained fame when it was viewed at the fourth International Experimental Film Competition in Brussels, Belgium. This “Fragmentation Animation” which is the deformation and reformations of an object in a computer generated space - was an important step for CGI in films because with it came the birth of an entirely new technology for use in the film industry (Fragmentation Animations, 2007).
The visual scenes may be dynamic or static, and may be 2D, though the term "CGI" is most commonly used to refer to 3D computer graphics used for creating scenes or special effects in films and television.

Early films that used Computer Generated Content

One of the earliest movies that used Computer generated content was Star Wars. It was released in 1977 and took the world by storm. The technology was used to trench run briefing sequence. The other films in the early era that were renowned for CGC include Alien (1979), Dire Straits (1985), Lybrinth (1986), and Start Trek IV (1986)
In the modern era some CGC films that have caught the eye include Titanic, Toty Story, The Matrix triology, Spider Man, and Lord of the Rings trilogy.
Directors who feel use of CGC is not necessary
Although CGC has become an important component of the film industry but some directors have been somewhat very restricted towards the use of it. For instance Martin Scorcesse has not been the greatest admirer of CGC in films and openly shared his opinion on it for the best part of 20 years. Although, it seems like his views have changed as Hugo, one of his latest fims Hugo heavily used computer generated content. Clint Eastwood also shared negative views on using computer generated imagery and techniques in films since it took the authenticity and human element out of the film. Christopher Nolan is another director who is not a great admirer of using CGI or CGC. In one of the interview, he said "The thing with computer-generated imagery is that it’s an incredibly powerful tool for making better visual effects. But I believe in an absolute difference between animation and photography. However sophisticated your computer-generated imagery is, if it’s been created from no physical elements and you haven’t shot anything, it’s going to feel like animation. There are usually two different goals in a visual effects movie. One is to fool the audience into seeing something seamless, and that’s how I try to use it. The other is to impress the audience with the amount of money spent on the spectacle of the visual effect, and that, I have no interest in."

The hacker has left the message on the website to track the identity of the Pakistani cyber terrorist Shadow 008 who has been allegedly involved in hacking some of Bangladeshi websites. Moreover, the hackers have warned that if FIA does not take action against Shadow008, they would continue to deface other government websites.

The message was for Bengali hackers not to mess with the Pakistani ones. It has become a playground for the hacking community and the government is playing a role of second fiddle at the moment.

Recently Google Pakistan was hacked which prompted Google to tighten up the security around their servers. Moreover, Pakistani visitors were automatically redirected to google.com.pk before the hacking took place, but since then the redirection has been abandoned by Google which has affected a lot of Pakistani webmasters. Google Pakistan Hacked!

Google.com.pk Hacked

Goggle Pakistan was hacked today. The page was transformed and emerged into a view that was quite different.  The logo and the search bar were not appearing in the usual way. Google had been despoiled and taken under control by unknown hackers.
The despoiled web page emerged and appeared only on the Pakistan’s web page of Google. Initially people trying to access Google Pakistan were redirected to this portal but as for now, the search is being done on international page i.e www.google.com. The logo and search bar were hacked and the page displayed two penguins walking on a bridge. The page exhibited a message saying.
“Eboz of a friend always there for me My homies have not shot by me with every breath”
google.com.pk hacked by turkish hackers

The message seem to written by some Turkish fellow after translating it through Google translator. There was another distinguishing line that draws the focus i.e. “Downed Pakistan”. It may have been written to spread the confirmation that this web page has been taken down.
The hackers stated another surprising line at the bottom of the page that is read after translation as
“Hello friends who are still alive, not dead!”. The message depicts the negative perception of Pakistan in today's world media. For the past few hours, the webservice has been take down and it's still unknown whether Google has been able to take control of the geographic targeting based search engine.

248 Pakistani websites hacked

Other reports indicate that a total of 248 Pakistani websites have been hacked by the same Turkish hacker today which includes Microsoft's portal for Pakistani audience.

Facebook is Great

Of all the wonders that I see, Facebook is my mere choice.  One of the basic human needs after food and sex is socializing with others and Facebook is great platform that provides us the perfect opportunity to manage our social relationships with ease and comfort. It's a platform where you can express your feelings and share your views with the world. It's a virtual place which is the biggest source of entertainment in the world. Social media has become a mean of transparency in today's world.

Facebook is Great

An important question is, why did I feel the need to write this article? Well, there are a lot of people who say that Facebook is stupid, Facebook is evil or Facebook is a waste of time. People are calling such a thing a nuisance, which allows us to communicate throughout the world without boundaries or hindrances. We are revolting against such a thing that provides a platform for young as well as old business men to market themselves globally. Social media marketing has gained rapid popularity and Facebook is the most basic mean to market talent, products or services in today's world. Whether one is a musician, artist, merchant, a non-profit organization or a multi-national corporation, Facebook provides everyone to expand one's business.

In my opinion, calling Facebook a waste of time is a cliche or a sign of rebellious nature of our society. We can not work in a society by just retaliating with anything that tries to break down the old conventions and introduces novelty. We live in a world where logic defines everything. We mock on those who defy the simple logic that our brains present.

Facebook is a miracle that makes every person an extrovert and brings awareness among the society. Libyan people got their freedom from their monarch. A Libyan man started a revolution against his dictator on Facebook, which dis-emanated like fire and provoked the young Libyan men to wage a war against discrimination and monarchy. Facebook came out on top in Facebook vs. Gadafi war and that perhaps highlights the importance of Facebook in today's world affairs.

Moreover, Facebook allows us to communicate with others even when they are not online. It is also the biggest source of sharing media online. Not only that, it also comprises of various applications and games that makes it attractive and a source of entertainment for people. Facebook apps and Facebook games are also a mean of business expansion and direct interaction with consumers.

I do not understand in this point in time why do people still hold contempt and scorn for the magnificent wonder. And to think of it as nuisance is nothing more than an act of ignorance in an hour of bliss. In the light of preceding/aforementioned argument, it is a fair assessment to say Facebook is great and indeed a wonder of this world which has solved many problems of this world.

Please  let us know what are your views regarding the topic.
