Pakistan budget 2013-14 budget debate

The Pakistan fiscal budget 2013-14 invited a lot of criticism over increased taxation. Mass proportion of the opposition has been moaning that the PML (N) government should have increased the tax net rather than increasing the General Sales Tax.

Clarifications on Increased taxation

Ishaq Dar elaborated the matter and explained that even after imposing GST, the tax revenue would result in an increase of 202 billion rupees. However, the target increment has been set at 475 billion, that is 273 billion more than what GST and other measures would provide. The difference of 273 billion rupees would be met by increasing the tax net. About 500,000 people who do not pay taxes would be forced to pay direct taxes which would result in increased tax revenue for the country. It would be the first time in the history of Pakistan that such radical measures would be taken to increase the direct collection of taxes.

Is'haq Dar has asked for the opposition to stop misleading the nation. What are your thoughts Pakistan budget 2013-14?

  1. Fuck Ishaq Dar and PML(N) for imposing 5% education tax on parents giving fee more than 200K in a year. These buggers would like to take the right from middle income class for giving quality education to their kids. These idiots don't realize that we cut our other expenses and give priority to education by spending 35% to 40% of our gross salaries. Why the hell, they don't impose tax on educational institutions who increase 10 to 15% charges every year. This exhibits the intentions of government to kill the middle income class. They are even worst than PPP government. Dogs, dirty swines

    1. i now personally thinks you are an educated idiot, or you don't understand the English very well. Mr Anonymous, you F***K your self, as this is no way to talk to any body.

This educational tax of 5% is ADJUSTABLE WITHHOLDING TAX. and is on student whose fee per month is Rs.16667/- or more.

Now this ADJUSTABLE WITHHOLDING TAX can be claim by a person how is a registered tax payer. And the person how is not a tax payer will not be having this facility of claiming the tax which he has paid, those days are over for person how don not pay tax to govt and have 4 to 5 kids getting education in these schools and colleges.

ALL THE NON TAXPAYERS LIKE YOU ARE CREATING THIS BUZZ BECAUSE YOU PEOPLE WILL HAVE TO PAY DIRECT TAX FOR THE 1ST TIME IN THERE LIVES. SO STOP BAKING AT THE BUDGET BEFORE THE ACTUAL UNDERSTANDING OF THE BUDGET.

And please be ethical in your language.

      Regards.
