High Treason Case against Musharraf
The newly formed PML N government had decided they would initiate the case if high treason against former Army Chief and President of Pakistan General Pervez Musharraf.
The Attorney General of Pakistan submitted the stance of the government in front of the Supreme Court at today's proceedings.
Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif announced in the lower house on Monday morning that the government is initiating the high treason case against Musharraf and that General Pervez Musharraf would be tried under article 6 of the Constitution of Pakistan. He further said that they were pressurized to declare act of 3rd November as lawful, but we refused.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Pakistan Muslim League N's government is being supported by PTI and PPP on this move as all the political parties join hands for strengthening of democracy. Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that Prime Minister's decision to take the parliament into confidence was the correct one. Khurshid Shah Kasuri asked for the removal of all the pictures of dictators from the house.
