This photo was submitted for the Photography Competition that took place at LSE in the 2nd week of January, '12. It won the 3rd position at LSE MEDIA FEST '12 which was organized by FMC.

I shot this from a distance, in order to cover the whole tree from top to bottom including protruding branches. I believe this shot represents silence and calmness. It is, as if life has stopped for a moment. The basic reason behind this click is the tree and skyline. I liked the simplicity of it.

“Rest is not idleness, and to lie sometimes on the grass under the trees on a summer's day, listening to the murmur of water, or watching the clouds float across the sky, is by no means a waste of time” ~ John Lubbock.

I shot into the sun and captured this wonderful silhouette, captured with Nikon D7000. :)
