Why is that
a baby smiles after being thrown into the sky? Why does the sunflower
open up to Apollo
every day? Why is
that a human being smiles waking up to a new dawn? Why do pedestrians
walk on, tranquilly
neglecting the possibility that the headlights raging in the other lane will not
change their direction? Why is that a 6 year old hops across the zebra crossing
merrily,
even at a green light? Why is that an 80 year
old Alzheimer’s patient still remembers to breathe once or twice in a
while?
There is no reason for Mr. Huzaifa Akbar to not take certain (minute)
items of his life for granted. Why shouldn’t he worry about whether he would be
able to inhale another gulp of the elixir of life? Why should he? He has been
taught … Wait! He was never been told or taught or suggested or educated that he could
rely on his next breathe! But, he assumes he will; he assumes he will live to inhale
another breath.
Mr. Huzaifa even assumes that when he opens his mouth, the muscles that
are implanted in his body, i.e. his mouth, will function. Whether the clogs and bolts
that are well greased and were working a fraction of a second ago,
would rise into
motion to egress vibrations to be interpreted by his fellow(s), i.e. words would come out. He simply lives
by the assumption that they will.
The Sun assumes that its chariots will continue delivering its gift across the Milky
Way. The world lives on the assumption
that, it will live. Living on these assumptions, every living ever created, survives.
